Graduation is a time for rejoicing. It is the time to spread your wings and find out and do what the Lord has for you in this life. Reading His Word is a good way to find His will. He will provide a way when it seems like there are none. Talk to the Lord and He will comfort You and show You His ways. Lean on Him always, He will not let You fall.
"Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand." These previous verses are from James 5:7-8 . It is hard sometimes, I know, for us to wait. We don't want to live on this earth anymore, but want to be in the arms of our blessed Jesus. Yet, if we are patient, the Lord will give us strength and joy.
"And those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For Thou, O LORD, hast not forsake those who seek thee." I repeated to myself as I walked outside with a smile on my face and felt a spirit of peace within me. The Psalms are often a comfort for my weary spirit, yet this day they were even more so as I prepared to take on a task that I had never attempted before. I looked up at the heavens with tears now in my eyes and said, "Lord, I need your help today. I cannot do it alone. Please help me for I know that you will never leave me or forsake me. In Jesus, name, amen. Psalm 9:10 I walked along the beach with my dress swishing this way and that. The roar of the ocean was in the background as I looked up at the sparkling night sky. I thought about this magnificent creation and everything in it. I cannot believe like many people that this all came about by chance, there is too much evidence against it. This evidence is not just from the Bible either, it has been proven that if there is a creation, there is a creator, and that creator is Jesus Christ. Look for yourself: Genesis 1-2 (The illustration below is made up but still altogether true for many people.)I was watching out my window as a girl with long black hair came out of her house. Her hair looked in need of a good brushing. Tears were in her eyes and her shoulders were slumped as she walked outside. This is true of too many girls in the United States because of idle, useless gossip. God hates gossip because it can separate friends and family over a matter that may not even be true. Even if the matter is true, it should not be shared with those who have nothing to do with the problem or the solution.
